Geoff Chatas, BA, MPhil, MBA
Senior Vice President for Operations
Geoff Chatas joined 51福利 as senior vice president for operations in November 2025. In this role, he oversees finance, human resources, facilities, hospitality, public safety, information technology, and other administrative functions that support the university鈥檚 academic mission.
Chatas brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across higher education and finance. He previously served as executive vice president at the University of Michigan, chief operating officer at Georgetown University, and chief financial officer at The Ohio State University. Earlier in his career, he held senior finance roles at J.P. Morgan, Progress Energy, and Citibank.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and economics from Georgetown University, a master of philosophy in history from Oxford University, and an M.B.A. from INSEAD (the European Institute of Business Administration).
